  after a few beers and a bottle of french wine (2007 cote du rhone) i'm having myself some "ron zacapa centenario solera reserva".

  but that's probably because i spent a lot of time in latin america.

  It's soooo hot!

  it's 27 degrees celsius today = about 35 in my flat, which is about 95 degf for the americans.. .

  my friends in tx say it's been over 100 degf for about 2 months ... i don't have ac, but a fan on me .... .

  how do you deal with the heat?.

  I live in LA, in an apartment with no air conditioner.

  It once got to 117F (47.22-C) in my area, outside and inside of my apartment. Fans by themselves don't work at all. I had a freezer in which I put a 2.5 gallon bucket of water and place it in a freezer overnight. When you take it out it will have a frozen crust of ice but that could be easily punched through. Then take a tight fitting T-shirt and dunk it in the water. When you remove the T-shirt, wring out the excess water but not too much.

  At night, because it didn't cool down below 95F (35C) I used soaked bed sheets and a small fan.

  When I first put that T-shirt on, I shivered because of the cold for about 2 seconds then it felt like absolute bliss. Unfortunately, I had to do this every 10 minutes but you don't have the high heat I did.

  That is false. She was referring to Christian extremists and she's right. Extremists from the Christian Identity movement to Dominionism/Reconstructionism are either gearing up for their version of Armageddon or planning to infiltrate all aspects of American society.

  There are hundreds of thousands of hardcore members who are networked with millions of Ultra-Conservative Christians. That is a base of support far more powergful than anything that others from outside of this nation have. The fact that these extremists are domestic, well networked and well funded makes them thousands of time more capable of inflicting damage than the boogeymen of your imagination.

  Can a few Muslim terrorists inspire insurrection and even civil war?
